Parents are asked to phone in absences of their children. A class-by-class examination of absent pupils is checked against the absences notified by parents. School contacts homes if no notification is received. As this is time consuming we do ask that all absences be telephoned in to the school. In today's climate children are not always safe, we need to be very aware of the dangers. Prolonged illness or absence will not require daily calls if the school has had notification of this.
